Our builder, Arcadia, was absolutely fantastic throughout our entire project. From the very beginning, their team was incredibly helpful, guiding us through every decision and making the whole build feel smooth and stress-free. Everything ran seamlessly, and any questions or concerns we had were handled promptly and professionally. Thanks to Arcadia and the team, the whole experience was not just efficient, but genuinely enjoyable.
We built our first home with Arcadia homes and the team went above and beyond to make our building experience a positive one. Mitchell understood our budget and our dream home vision and delivered. The build has blown away our expectations. We will forever be grateful for what Arcadia homes have been able to do for our family. We can’t recommend Arcadia homes highly enough, we will definitely be back to build with the team again in the future.
Arcadia Homes were an absolute pleasure to build with! We received our keys just before Christmas (completing the build eariler then expected) it was the best Christmas present ever, thank you Arcadia! The team allowed us to visit the construction site at certain periods of the build which allowed us to see if it was everything we pictured or if we had any concerns we could raise them right there so we can make an amendment. There planning was spot on and the only change we had was that we wanted a barn door which they happily helped us out with. when we build again, it will be through Arcadia homes for sure!
What is involved in a knockdown rebuild?
A demolish and rebuild covers site assessment, design, approvals, disconnections, demolition and construction. We coordinate every stage, so you deal with one team.
Can I rebuild on my existing block?
Usually, yes. We assess your block’s size, orientation, access and local rules first, then find a standard design that fits or draft a custom plan around it.
Do I need approvals before the old home comes down?
Yes, and we handle them for you. We lodge the permits and approvals your rebuild needs, and demolition only goes ahead once they are all in place.
How long does a knockdown rebuild take?
It depends on your design and site. Design usually takes 2 to 6 weeks, then approvals follow. We’ll talk through demolition and construction timing at your consultation.
Where do we live while the build is underway?
That’s up to you. Renting nearby or staying with family are common choices, and we share expected timing early so you can plan the move with confidence.
What happens to my existing services and connections?
We coordinate service disconnections before demolition as part of your rebuild. Connections for the new home are planned into the build and priced upfront.
Do you offer inclusions made for knockdown rebuilds?
Yes. Our Legacy inclusions are designed specifically for knockdown rebuilds, with allowances for the extra requirements of building on an established site.
