Our builder, Arcadia, was absolutely fantastic throughout our entire project. From the very beginning, their team was incredibly helpful, guiding us through every decision and making the whole build feel smooth and stress-free. Everything ran seamlessly, and any questions or concerns we had were handled promptly and professionally. Thanks to Arcadia and the team, the whole experience was not just efficient, but genuinely enjoyable.
We built our first home with Arcadia homes and the team went above and beyond to make our building experience a positive one. Mitchell understood our budget and our dream home vision and delivered. The build has blown away our expectations. We will forever be grateful for what Arcadia homes have been able to do for our family. We can’t recommend Arcadia homes highly enough, we will definitely be back to build with the team again in the future.
Arcadia Homes were an absolute pleasure to build with! We received our keys just before Christmas (completing the build eariler then expected) it was the best Christmas present ever, thank you Arcadia! The team allowed us to visit the construction site at certain periods of the build which allowed us to see if it was everything we pictured or if we had any concerns we could raise them right there so we can make an amendment. There planning was spot on and the only change we had was that we wanted a barn door which they happily helped us out with. when we build again, it will be through Arcadia homes for sure!
What lot widths do your designs suit?
Our standard designs are grouped by lot width, starting at 10m and moving through 12.5m, 15m and 18m. Narrower or unusual lots can be assessed for a custom home.
Can I customise a narrow block design?
Yes. Like-for-like tweaks to standard designs are free, and three plan versions are included. Bigger changes go through our in-house draftsperson as semi-custom work.
Is double storey better for a narrow block?
Not always. Double storey gives more floor area on a slim lot, while a well-planned single storey can suit smaller households. We’ll show you both for your block.
Do narrow blocks cost more to build on?
It depends on the site more than the width. Access, slope and engineering can all affect cost, and our live price lists include site costs so you see it early.
Can you do a knockdown rebuild on a narrow block?
Yes. Narrow lots are common in established coastal suburbs, and we design knockdown rebuilds around them. We assess frontage, access and orientation first.
Do you build narrow homes in Moreton Bay?
Yes. We build across the Sunshine Coast and Moreton Bay, with our own carpentry crews in both regions. Filter our home designs by lot width to find a fit.
